Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Alibelle--how did the rest of the party go? I was fighting a migraine and it's a good thing I left when I did, since it got me as soon as I got home. Sorry I missed the awesome cake.

Punishingly Intricate

My friends' old dog Newton was a food squirreler, too. She used to bury pieces of her kibble in between the sofa cushions and under the rugs. They also had mice (country-ish house) who would steal kibble and put it in, for example, bicycle helmets hanging on the wall. They found bits of dog food all over the place when they moved.

It's kind of embarassing how much I have not done this weekend. I am going to play up how sick I am (medium-ish) to justify it, but it's mostly lazy. Oh well.

I had plans to organize. I have so much organizing to do. So much. And I haven't unpacked from Florida yet. But my day got sidetracked with a nap and long nap recovery and then my brother & sister-in-law dropped in with my niece. Who is ridic adorable. And now I'm all discombobled and feeling guilty about not having gotten more done!

My excuse is going to be that I've been running (literally and otherwise) every weekend since...before Thanksgiving maybe? and the last couple of weeks have been particularly insane busy (Marathon, Inauguration...BIG EVENTS!). So this has to be my recovery weekend. That's okay, right?

Now tagless for your comfort.

Allyson, Mona is a doll! Our dog, Mac used to hoard her treats. She was always paranoid about someone finding them. Sometimes, I would follow her around the house and she'd move a milk bone two or three times if she thought I saw her hide it. So. Cute.

I ran 2.5 miles today at the gym. Without walking once. I'm a little in shock that I didn't drop dead on the treadmill.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

You're a total Doer, lisah. You can have a weekend off. I had last weekend off! I am just a lazy SOS. With a slight fever, but still.

That wears you down! Your body needs you to rest, clearly.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Thanks for all the suggestions earlier. I ended up doing a bit of what needed to be done in my life errand-wise and a bit of stuff to relax me and take the edge off. I could have used an hour more, but I am better than where I was.

I have just re-arranged mac's room at his request. We have managed to get almost all the stuff back in and we are losing a piece of furniture, so that is pretty much my declutter-ers dream.

I am a bit sickish with a cold and my plan this week is to go to bed 30 min after mac and get 7-8 hours sleep each night (7.5 is about my natural sleep time if I am fully rested and allowed to wake up unassisted). On days when he goes to bed on the early side of bedtime that will give me some morning alone time, on the days when he goes to bed on the late side of bedtime, I should still be rested enough and not be rushed in the morning. We'll see.

Aww! I'm sorry. It went pretty well. We finished bowling, cosmically, until the very last second when the lanes clicked off. But most of the food was eaten, everyone seemed to appreciate the cake, and they provided to-go boxes and strongly urged us to take leftovers. Then Natalie and I burst into tears in the parking lot saying good-bye, Courtney noted that she had no emotions, and Marsha was proud of her for that. But pretty much people seemed to be enjoying themselves, and leaving in dribs and drabs throughout the evening.

Incidentally, between the bowling and the FOUR COATS of paint, I may never use my right arm again. Is it fun being a lefty?

Just friended my most serious high school boyfriend. He has a 22-year-old girlfriend! WTF. I mean, he's 52.

Thanks! And WOOT on the running! I signed up for a 5K in March and think I may try to do it all running, no walking. I don't even really like running. I just love a challenge! ha!
