Question for Fluevog owners: if I sometimes wear a 6.5 and sometimes wear a 7, which would I most likely wear in his shoes
Are your feet wide, and is your instep high? The newer Fluevogs run small and tight, so I'd say try a 7.5.
Skipping way too much in order to post that, according to the Buffista Calendar, today is Sox' birthday.
Happy birthday, Sox! With lots of wishes for a great day and a wonderful year!
Also, I won't have any computer time tomorrow, and according to flea "If the Apocalypse Comes, Beep Me" Jul 11, 2006 2:48:26 pm PDT it's going to be Dillo's third (can you believe it?) birthday, so I'd like to send early wishes to him, his older sister, his mom, and all their family!
[Edited for an exclamation point. No birthday wish is properly complete without an exclamation point!]
Happy Birthday, Sox!
Hecubus -- scientists literally are making it up as they go along, sometimes.
Which, actually, is one of science's strengths, because conjectures get overturned when there's more evidence collected or new techniques become available, like for instance, genetic testing of pandas, bears, and raccoons definitively classifying who goes where.
Note, however, that while giant pandas are indeed members of the Ursidae family, red pandas form their own family and remain more cloesly related to raccoons and weasels. (So giant and red pandas? Not that closely related.)
Lastly, the Chinese for giant panda translates as "big bear-cat", so the Chinese were having a bet each way.
Speaking of pandas, Tai Shan turned four yesterday. In panda years, that makes him a teenager (or so the story in the paper said).
Happy birthday, Sox and Dillo.
Dilemma: the chair of my grad program pointed out that I need a new thesis advisor. She recommended Dr. H, a professor I had quite some time ago but said Dr. H is most likely not going to be able to do it because of time constraints. She offered to do it herself.
If Dr. K does it herself, it means she's going to expect me to communicate and be top notch and to GET THINGS DONE in a timely manner and there will be a lot of back and forth, with negotiating. But my thesis will be ready for defense, no question about it.
Dr. H will not require I work that hard but she also won't be able or willing to provide the same support. I dunno how much support I might need.
Dr. K already sits on the defense committees though, so that might be nice.
Hmmm... who to ask?
Fluevog is having a big sale today, fyi! [link]
I would go with Dr. K. Firmess in an advisor is a good thing, even if the work is "harder" you have GUIDANCE.
