You're wrong about River. River's not on the ship. They didn't want her here, but she couldn't make herself leave. So she melted... Melted away. They didn't know she could do that, but she did.

“Not dead yet!”

Oh man... just got back from the store and saw something that just offended every sensibility I pretty much possess. Car parked next to me-- shiny red BMW (bitch, please, my dark blue BMW is prettier, but I digress)-- anyhoo, a Miss Thang, clearly just fresh off the tennis court, all glistening and toned and with nary an ounce of visible fat on her-- could be anywhere between 35 and 45, and she's got the 70-something Publix employee loading her groceries for her!

::boggles:: I mean, when the kids were babies/toddlers, sure, I accepted help from the baggers/loaders, they're required to offer, blah, blah, blah, but for fuck's sake, she's young, healthy, and there is NO GODDAMNED REASON SHE SHOULD HAVE A SENIOR CITIZEN LOADING HER GROCERIES WHEN IT'S ALREADY 90 DEGREES AND HUMID AS SHIT.

Sorry.

It really did aggravate the hell out of me.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Maybe he insisted, or he's her father, or maybe she's got a bad back or something...? . . . Howsomeever, given the level of entitlement I've noticed in all too many luxury car drivers ( :: quickly hides the pictures of her beloved Audi 5000 she still mourns:: ) I'd probably still bet on the probable bitchiness.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Sticks tongue out at Theodosia

No real plans after today, but today I slept late, at least for me, and then there is slounging to be done until I go get a massage at 3:00.

Rest of the weekend I hope to do laundry and make my apartment look less like a cat rumpus room.

I may need to go to Ikea too. With Ditaboo's help, I discovered that the not very stable DVD case REALLY isn't stable.

Have you guys seen the Life photo archive, hosted by Google? [link]

Seriously cool time waster.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

because I have no TV channels anymore, I can't watch the very last Bauer Barbeque on Guiding Light!!!

I bet you could watch it at a nearby laundromat.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

The laudromat is a good idea, and there is even one in walking distance, but I am so exhausted from waking up every time I rolled over on my ear, and just traveling from 10 am today to pick up a prescription and back to my house that I am going to bed and don't even care about the Bauers.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Ugh. Woke up at 4 am this morning and couldn't get back to sleep. I can't deal with it not being noon yet. I even hit the bank and dropped off my mail hours ago.

Hmmmm... you would think it was going to be a holiday around here soon or something.

Finally! The two Andys! Off to tennis. This better be good. But unless Murray humiliated Roddick, I don't see how it can't be.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

What possessed me to go out on a hot and humid afternoon and clip hedges for an hour? I'm wiped out, and I still have to go to my sister's b-day party.

Hedges look good, though.
