Natter 63: Life after PuppyCam
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
No. Although most legal opinions end when one Justice calls another a douchenozzle, Frank.
I had to read the article to see who was the one vote that thought it was ok. Clarence Thomas. Anyone surprised?
A little. You're saying he voted differently from Scalia?
A little. You're saying he voted differently from Scalia?
That DID surprise me a little. Leave it to Clarence to dissent from Scalia in the asshatty way.
You know, I really have no feelings about Farrah Fawcett. I missed that train.
It wasn't just a "guy couldn't keep it in his pants" scenario (which isn't to condemn polyamory, if it's conducted consciously and honestly)
FTR, equating polyamory with not being able to keep it in your pants is not at all a correct or fair comparison.
Fucking around /= polyamory.
My take on the Sanford affair is that affairs are an issue of personal ethics, not public ethics. As far as his personal life goes, that's between him and his family. That he'd leave the country without taking steps to make sure someone knew where he was and that someone was in charge? Those are violations of the public trust.
Yeah. I mean, I do feel sorry for the guy. I suspect he probably wasn't looking to fall in love and had pre-existing issues in his marriage, because human relationships are complicated things and sometimes, you feel lonely even while partnered and your unmet emotional needs find their outlet elsewhere. These things happen. But while it explains, it doesn't excuse the public trust violations.
And it's not right to make people worry about you, much less a state. yeah, it would seem that polyamory is more arranged and agreed upon than this Sanford thing.(Not that I know personally...the internets is just a place to learn and discuss these things.)
oh, man, I need to NOT go back and look at the comments in that Sun blog I commented in. Somebody just said I wasn't "bright" enough to understand all the griping in there. sheesh. i've got to let it go. people are just assholes, evidently!
Polyamory implies consent by all parties to me. Maybe that was going on here or not. It doesn't sound like it. Regardless, his email messages are still creepy to me.
Another freaky-ass optical illusion: Blue and Green? No, They are the Same Color.
