Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh god, msbelle. When does school get out?

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

My niece's band, ThisMeansYou, won a contest - Metal Blade's "Search for the Next Great Metal Band" contest. She is awfully excited. The band won at Ozzfest a few years ago, and I'm not sure what that was about, but apparently there was a tv appearance. She also told me that their music is now available on iTunes and Pandora, which is even more exciting, to me.

So, if you're into metal, check out a few of their songs, and tell me what you think. I think they are really really good. Kim has wanted to be a rockstar since she was two. It would be amazing if they got a record deal!

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

In the interest of cleaning out the fridge before we're gone for the weekend, I made a stir-fry with ground pork, broccoli, asparagus, corn, baby spinach, onion, and ginger, and dumped hoisin on the whole thing. I pronounce it not bad at all, if I do say so myself.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

That sounds delicious, Dana.

DH is bringing me takeout from a restaurant by his work that we haven't been to before. It's an adventure.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Did he tell you those things? Or did the teacher?

oh no, mac does not tell anything. I am working right now on letting him know that I know all the facts and THEN getting him to tell me. not so much.

ita - this run away stayed in the building, so I hope not, but I would not be surprised by a call.

Poor mac and poor msbelle.

I got stuff to write about, but really. I'm so fucking boring I can't stand it.

I've never heard of that Earth Room! And I will definitely go to the High Line if it's ever not raining on a day I'm not at work...

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Talk, kat, talk. I want to know. You're definitely not more boring than me.

Is it wrong that I want to ditch school or at least the grad ceremony (for which I have a cap and gown -- HI-LARIOUS!) to go see the corpse flower at the huntington?
