Spike: At least give me Wesley's office since he's gone. Angel: He's not gone. He's on a leave of absence. Spike: Yeah, right. Boo-hoo. Thought he killed his bloody father. Try staking your mother when she's coming on to you! Harmony: Well…that explains a lot.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I've never heard of that Earth Room! And I will definitely go to the High Line if it's ever not raining on a day I'm not at work...

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Talk, kat, talk. I want to know. You're definitely not more boring than me.

Is it wrong that I want to ditch school or at least the grad ceremony (for which I have a cap and gown -- HI-LARIOUS!) to go see the corpse flower at the huntington?

'Sokay, ita.

Being a parent is just a lot of drudgery. And the lovely moments are so sappy and kodaky that undoubtedly all of my non-parent friends are rolling their eyes. Like today, Noah articulated a sequence of events, in chronological order that he remembered. His little brain is growing and developing and it thrills me because you can see all of that learning happening.

But the truth is? SO BORING to read about when you aren't his mom.

In other news? I'm writing letters to local businesses to ask for sponsorship for cheerleading. We need to raise $300 per girl for uniforms. Right now I have 10 girls so that's only $3000, which seems an insurmountable amount.

And I also need to raise funds to buy a screenprinting thing so we can make shirts for cheerleading. Which is another $300 give or take, but would ideally pay for itself.

And did I mention I need ads for the newspaper?

Art Crawl!!!

Not wrong at all. How long does the corpse flower stay in bloom?

sumi, I'm not sure. I think a week to ten days. More info here: [link] Like all flowers, this one looks totally sexual.

Also, on my list of things I need? I need 60 copies of Tale of Two Cities. Seriously. I should write a grant for that one.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

I didn't really listen in much, it was actually about abiogenesis, but the word "Darwinism" was being used.

Oh oh oh! There was a fantastic article in the NY Times this week. Scientists have, fairly recently, made no less than four major advances in determining how life could have begun. [link]

Microchip her. It's very subtle.

And then we can follow her migratory habits! If we're really lucky, she'll lead us to where the blue whale goes to breed.

Kat - does the tale of two cities need to be a specific edition?
