Peonies attract ants, don't they? On the bush outside, I mean. I always wondered why that was.
The ants are a part of what helps them bloom, though I disremember exactly what they do.
I hate to even start one of these discussions, but here goes:
How do you pronounce "peony"? I've only ever heard PEE-uh-nee, but I have one friend who insists that it's pee-OH-nee.
Of course, she also pronounces "corset" as cor-SETT, which is just the weirdest damn thing.
