We were once deeply freaked out while camping by a sneezing deer. (Should be a goofy mystery story: "The Deer Sneezed at Midnight."

I was just scared to death by a racoon sleeping in my garbage can! I put some boxes in on top of him and he ran out into the wooded area behind my house. I screamed like a bansheem
Heh. We were just talking yesterday in the office about the many things dogs use sneezes to communicate. I wonder what the deer meant to say.

"Goddamn ragweed."

Lewis is tentatively looking for a new job. Several of the positions he's (very tentatively) looking at would mean relocation. Which is entirely fine by me. Especially since most of them lie due west.
I'm... cautiously optimistic?
Barb, come to Colorado!!!! (or were you thinking coast?)
Tino update: yesterday he sent an email at 3:45pm saying he was rearranging the table assignments for the (110-organization strong, fills-a-ballroom) orientation fair. We were to expect the new assignments before 5pm. He sent the new assignment email at 7:30pm. The next fair is at 9:15 am today. TINO FAIL!
this is the real Tino, right? Because it's such a Tino story, I'm having trouble remembering.

Have no idea-- some of the job listings are in Colorado, some are in CA (Bay area), some are in Seattle, some are in Austin. It's just a case of finding something that feels right to him. I mean, who knows, nothing may come of it, but I sure hope it does-- he needs a change in a huge way and it's not as if I have any work issues we have to navigate around. The beauty of being a writer-- give me my laptop and access to internet and I'm good to go. So I'm definitely up for adventure and I think it would be good for everyone involved. We've been here in Jax for six years and there's been a lot of good, but I'm so ready to go and I think within the next year would be a good time to go with respect to the kids, as well. Abby's getting ready to start middle school, Nate's going into his second year-- I figure being able to move while they're in middle school and set the groundwork for high school is good.
But then again, I'm projecting. He has to actually up and decide to apply for a job, you know?
