You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

“Not dead yet!”

Lewis is tentatively looking for a new job. Several of the positions he's (very tentatively) looking at would mean relocation. Which is entirely fine by me. Especially since most of them lie due west.

I'm... cautiously optimistic?

Tino update: yesterday he sent an email at 3:45pm saying he was rearranging the table assignments for the (110-organization strong, fills-a-ballroom) orientation fair. We were to expect the new assignments before 5pm. He sent the new assignment email at 7:30pm. The next fair is at 9:15 am today. TINO FAIL!

this is the real Tino, right? Because it's such a Tino story, I'm having trouble remembering.

Have no idea-- some of the job listings are in Colorado, some are in CA (Bay area), some are in Seattle, some are in Austin. It's just a case of finding something that feels right to him. I mean, who knows, nothing may come of it, but I sure hope it does-- he needs a change in a huge way and it's not as if I have any work issues we have to navigate around. The beauty of being a writer-- give me my laptop and access to internet and I'm good to go. So I'm definitely up for adventure and I think it would be good for everyone involved. We've been here in Jax for six years and there's been a lot of good, but I'm so ready to go and I think within the next year would be a good time to go with respect to the kids, as well. Abby's getting ready to start middle school, Nate's going into his second year-- I figure being able to move while they're in middle school and set the groundwork for high school is good.

But then again, I'm projecting. He has to actually up and decide to apply for a job, you know?

Now tagless for your comfort.

Tino sucks.

I wish the asswipe who originally injured Mr. Peabody has a giant festering abscess on his ass. But I'm glad he's going to be alright, Ginger.

I'm trying to flag down my motivation this morning.

I so don't want to be here today. Somehow dragging everyone out of bed and getting them off to their appointed locations for the day is exponentially more disheartening when most of the other parents I know (who have flexible jobs or one SAH parent) are reveling in the laid-back, sleep-in schedule of summer.

ETA: My Tino is the original Tino. Tino 1.0. My coworker occasionally yells "Tinooooo!" in the office after I told her about you people.

Somehow, it's even funnier to me that the real Tino is regularly Tino-esque.

Poor Mr. Peabody - I'm going to try to focus on anger at the guy that hurt him to avoid thinking about the suffering Mr. Peabody endured. I don't believe in the death penalty but I wouldn't complain if it were applied to those who hurt children and animals.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

egad flea, Tino really does live up to his name, doesn't he? What a goob.

I haven't been to Austin or Colorado, but they both sound like great places to live. SF is wonderful, as is Seattle. Currently my fantasy is that my life finds a way to move itself to Seattle, but so far it's just a fantasy.
