This here's a recipe for unpleasantness.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I am just so sick of rich privileged white guys prattling on about bias and equality.

Oh yes.

I am now one of those people who sit at Panera! But only for a little while longer. It seemed like the surest bet to get my work email downloaded, but then I can work on stuff offline from home.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I sit at Panera all summer! I have no shame. Plus the Panera guy told us we could just sit in the Panera parking lot at all hours and didn't need to come in to buy stuff to assuage our corporate guilt.

Now I'm hungry for Panera and there isn't one for hundreds of miles. Plus I don't have a vehicle since the SO is in the recording studio again today. Plus I have huevos rancheros if I get off my duff and go make them.

I bet I could find a privileged white guy at the Panera to feel sorry for if I could get there, though.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

My netbook is coming today. Eeeeee!

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Grammar check!

There is a thing in patent applications called an IDS. Is the plural IDSs,IDSes, or IDS's?

Depends on the style you use. I am generally a no apostrophe person, but I think you could use the apostrophe to avoid confusion. Ginger might know better.

Thanks! The Chicago Manual of Style we have here says 's, but it's the 13th edition, so I think it might be out of date.

The NYTimes would use the apostrophe there, I think.

Nice. I came home, mostly so I could take off my good clothes.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I miss Panera. Soup and bread and coffee and wi-fi. It's like a little piece of heaven with bagels and muffin tops.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Go, Seanie, go! I just quit myself two weeks ago. The first week is a beeyotch.

Two potential strategies for you to use or ignore at your choosing:

1) Count your cravings. That helped me get some distance from them and see how they were decreasing rapidly.

2) Imagine smoking, then what you'd do next, then skip the smoking and do the "next thing" (worked for a friend).

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I got a netbook today, to take with me to my sister's tomorrow. It's so cute and wee! I've named it "Chekov".
