Mal: Well, look at this! Appears we got here just in the nick of time. What does that make us? Zoe: Big damn heroes, sir.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

The NYTimes would use the apostrophe there, I think.

I sit at Panera all summer! I have no shame. Plus the Panera guy told us we could just sit in the Panera parking lot at all hours and didn't need to come in to buy stuff to assuage our corporate guilt.

Nice. I came home, mostly so I could take off my good clothes.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I miss Panera. Soup and bread and coffee and wi-fi. It's like a little piece of heaven with bagels and muffin tops.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Go, Seanie, go! I just quit myself two weeks ago. The first week is a beeyotch.

Two potential strategies for you to use or ignore at your choosing:

1) Count your cravings. That helped me get some distance from them and see how they were decreasing rapidly.

2) Imagine smoking, then what you'd do next, then skip the smoking and do the "next thing" (worked for a friend).

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I got a netbook today, to take with me to my sister's tomorrow. It's so cute and wee! I've named it "Chekov".

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Today's xkcd: [link] The best part is, you can substitute SO MANY words/phrases for "sex" and it still works! (Like, say, "creating new threads"....)

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

AP Style: Apostrophe S after a single letter, e.g., "mind your p's and q's." No apostrophe for the rest, so it's IDSs. That looks very weird, but I checked and the patent office uses IDSs.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Thanks Ginger!

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

It's like a little piece of heaven with bagels and muffin tops.

If that's heaven then Tony Kushner was right about San Francisco.

Swouncing

t quite impolite and a bit selfish Um, is it OK to pop in Natter after skipping-and-skimming to the point of understanding how lurkers-support-stuff-in-e-mail, just in order to exploit the hivemind in English grammar question(s)?

t Not closing the quite-impolite and a-bit-selfish tag, since I'm still those things

Shit's all sorts of different now.

It's totally fine!!

And of all the things you are Nilly, impolite and selfish are words that don't exist.
