I sometimes mix shredded cabbage, tuna and Girard's chinese chicken salad dressing.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I have been known to just eat chopped raw cabbage with nothing on it, but I like it better with something vinegary. But I cannot resist demonstrating the pH-indicatoriness of red cabbage, even if it is only for my own amusement.

Good luck with the interviews, ita. Weird that they are over the holiday.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I like my coleslaw with cilantro, lime, mayo, cayenne, and just a wee hint of honey for balance.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I like sweet slaw but I'm a heretic.

Taco Bell has wee, luchador thumb wrestlers in their kids meals! I just have to figure out how to get them away from the kids.

Neighbor made margaritas for the backyard earlier and now I have a headache. Shouldn't have had one on an empty stomach.

(And Dylan threw up in bed again. Too much sun & cheese puffs today!)

Intriguing!

Feel better, y'all.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I like a carrot salad with pineapple and raisins. Mmm -- maybe I'll make that this weekend!

brillig

Cilantro, the soap weed!

Thereby triggering Buffista conversation number 93 just as I leave for the evening.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Yay, Burrell! That's great news.

I like a tangy rather than sweet coleslaw. I didn't even know that was a possibility until I was well into my twenties.

Emmett and I ate at SF's best barbecue the other day, Memphis Minnie's. Lordy, their Texas brisket is insanely good. They cook it for 16 hours. Emmett said their tri-tip sandwich was the best he ever had. Plus, I was able to get both homemade banana pudding (con nilla wafer) and an order of potlikker greens (collard greens in a mustard sauce) to go.

So now JZ has had collard greens. (A staple of my mother's upraising in 30s Georgia.)

In less happy news the El Cerrito Parkway Speakeasy theater is closed as of Wednesday. Looks like the whole enterprise is biting the dust. Sucks.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I can only tolerate cabbage in eggrolls or KFC's über-sweet slaw.
