I always thought the name Serenity had a vaguely funereal sound to it.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Tommy- is it because of the bedbugs? Because you made a really good faith effort with the person to help you clean/get rid of the stuff.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Well, originally they weren't happy with my efforts. So even though I've since had the place cleaned and gotten rid of a whole bunch of stuff, they say it's too late.

Yeah. If I tell then I'm going to stay, they're going to take me to court. I just don't know if I wanna go through all that trouble, plus have them still mad at me and looking for ways to evict me. Plus my lease will be up at the end of Sept. and they're not going to renew it, so I'll have to move anyway.

Though that would be the perfect opportunity for you to relocate back here to the Bay Area.

Heh. I'd love to, but this is not the best time to be looking for a new job.

Also, anyone know:

a) a professional who can get two cats to not kill each other?

- or -

b) somebody who can take care of my cat for a few months?

Sophia, is she fighting the dropper? When I had to give Amarna liquid antibiotic, I discovered that the best way was to pick her up from behind, holding her with her paws dangling outward so she couldn't push off and struggle, and then squeeze the dropper in her mouth while she was meowing at full volume in protest.

It only got difficult by the end of the week, when she got more resigned to the indignity and didn't bitch as much.

Both FedEx and UPS AND USPS tend to piss me off. I really, really wish they'd deliver to their own stores for after hours pickup.

FYI, UPS stores are not affiliated with UPS. I learned this the hard way when I had a problem with sending a package.

At my old place both UPS and FedEx would leave packages, which was great. USPS wouldn't even check if we were home (that would involve climbing stairs!) but would automatically leave a slip. Their hours essentially meant going on Saturday for pick-ups.

Now, UPS automaticaly rings the super if you're not there and he leaves the package just inside the door to your apt, which is made of awesome. Sadly, that probably won't work with the new super we are soon getting.

Kathy- she is making it hard for me to catch her and then clamping her mouth shut so I have to pry her jaw open! I need 4 arms. Or not to be single, but most times I rather like it! I will try the behind version of the pick up and see if it works better.

It still makes me sad that she is "not talking" to me.

Oh, I did hear that! Good one. No, I'm sorry, it's not the same. It may be good enough, but it is not the same.

Well, phooey.

Wait, you can be evicted because you had bedbugs? How is that right? If you have a lease, can't you only be evicted for, like, doing bad things? Bedbugs are not your fault, surely?
