Oh, god, Cash. You should've said. I haven't been able to get more than a chapter into New Moon myself, i.e. I would have mailed you mine for free.
No big. I was ordering other stuff so I just tacked the paperback onto the order. Thanks, though!
Hey, how's the little man doing?
Awesome. He was showing some kids at the party his silver crowns.
Heh. After I got my gold ones, I was all "My head has resale value!"
My mom has a new plan to get some furniture to me: buy an Element and roadtrip next summer. So I have to wait a bit for a dresser, but that's fine. (msbelle, one of the pieces is the same size as the kitchen table, but nicer. So I'll have to figure it out!!)
you'll have a year to figure it out.
I thought when April was over shit would quit conspiring to pile up on me.
But I just did something to fuck up my leg walking home. Not my knee, not my ankle. I was walking and suddenly it felt like I'd been shot in my left calf. I literally looked around for the person who had shot me. Then I looked down and there was no blood, and no hole in my jeans. No bruise when I pulled up my jeans. Just awesome amounts of pain when I lifted my toes upward.
I don't know what happened but the toe-lift and the area of hurt suggests maybe an issue with the tendon. It doesn't hurt unless I lift my toes slightly upward as is common in walking. Then it feels like I was shot again. So walking is tricky.
I have a new, very affected, piratical gait.

Our sympathies arrrrrr with you.

Heh. How's Ryan? How's the Wallybee?
David, did you try putting ice on your leg? Also take ibuprofen.
Heh. How's Ryan? How's the Wallybee?
They're just wonderful. I expect to bring them home today. Wallybee's moving around more easily, the C-section incision is bothering her less. She has a physio class today about building up again after the birth. Little Ryan is looking very healthy, his hearing and vision are good, he had no trouble working out the whole feeding thing, and he certainly has a decent pair of lungs. Meet the new boss, same as the old boss - if the old boss was prone to bouts of irrational screaming every couple of hours. So, yeah, much like the old boss.
There has been one issue; possibly due to the difficulty of the birth, Wallybee's milk has been taking a while to come in. The colostrum isn't enough anymore to fill him up. Lesson: a hungry baby is not a happy baby. But I think that's all changing now. Her milk was starting to come in last night, which should make our little man happier.
Anyway, it's clear that he has a lot to learn, and we're going to have to start with the fundamentals, by which I mean "Don't dip your scrotum in poo". We'll see if he's a fast learner.
So, yeah. They're just wonderful.
C-sections tend to delay milk coming in. Mine did but it eventually came in in gallons.
