It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Panisse is in the bottom fifty somewhere -- the list actually has 100 names.

I'm not surprised at the dominance of Spain in that list. Molecular gastronomy influenced by Ferran Adria has been the big trend for a while now.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

They're about to win. I don't know how much longer I can go without anti-nausea meds and I have some so so stuff at home. I wasn't expecting to have it wear off.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Chez Panisse will always make me think of my parents, and of their coming up to visit me in Berkeley. They had a friend who worked there as a hostess and they'd take me to the upstairs cafe to have a great meal while they were there.

Why hairball the morning after I pack the carpet cleaning supplies?

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Why hairball the morning after I pack the carpet cleaning supplies?

They're cats. They just know.

Our wings are not tired.

ita, I hope they treated you well and right after the long wait.

After 4 days home sick I am going back to the office today. Don't wanna.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

They're cats. They just know.

So what she said!

Hil, I had the exact same reaction -- ghettoblaster is Dutch?!

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

All caught up...so much sadness and frustration abounding. I'm so sorry for your loss, Scrappy. Your uncle sounds like he was an amazing man.

Ugh, ita, on the ER visit. I hope it helped. I hope they did right by you. I hope they were kind and competent. I hope that isn't too much to ask for all at once.

Hoping mac has woken up in a better frame of mind, msbelle.

And in completely other news, tommyrot, I've seen an Apache in (tiny metal) person; if you make it back to the Bay Area again to visit we can make an excursion out to Orinda, where there's a little cowboy bar near the freeway with an entire display wall of 19th century poky stabby shooty things.
