Wow, Calli, what a terrible story.

I'm slowly acclimating to winter again after 4 daysish in Florida. It's amazing how quickly you get used to above freezing temperatures. I shocked myself and actually finished the Disney Marathon I went there to attempt. Turns out being kinda bullheaded can overcome not training enough! Pictures here:

And recovery wasn't really that bad. LOTS of time spent in a hot tub really helped. Plus pina coladas.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Brrrr. My office is freezing!!! At least my car started up with the help of my foot on the gas pedal goosing it along.

According to the Tribune's webpage, it's been one day, ten hours, and 29 minutes since the temperature's gone below zero.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I hope you can agree that I was willing to make the tough decisions.

Doesn't "let Cheney decide" count as just one decision if you do it all the time?

Our wings are not tired.

There was no way I was going to subject myself to the address last night. I feared my parents were going to watch it and force me to don headphones. I seriously never want to see that face or hear that voice again. I can't remember when I have felt the rage that his public appearances have produced these last few outings when I have seen the clips. Counting the hours...

Woo! Congratulations! That was the first marathon I did. It was so much fun with the characters cheering us on and all. Great job finishing!

Ann, that's a ferret.

I hope you can agree that I was willing to make the tough decisions.

Shame he didn't make the right ones.

Good riddance to bad Shrubbish.

Man I want to be productive today, but all I have succeeded in doing is getting papers spread out all over my desk.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

"Every morning, I received a briefing on the threats to our nation."

First, you didn't before?

Yes, but he apparently napped through them, including the "Bin Laden Determined to Attack Inside the United States" one. After 9/11, he made up his own threats.

Yay, Lisa!

I'd never been to Disney, and my friend I was with the whole time is very familiar with it, so the novelty and the narration helped me want to keep going.
