Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Sometimes when there's a coin toss between malice and stupidity it can be a very hard call. They need either better PR or software release processes.

Amazon has been mostly off my shopping site list since they tried to patent one click shopping, so it wouldn't make much difference to my practices, even if I were buying.

My head is swimming. I've been spending the past week or so going through the long list of complex examples of advanced CSS ornamentation at some savant's site. I've reached the point where I understand much of it, but could never come up with it by myself. I have at least one site to CSS redo tomorrow, so I'm hoping for mental alchemy overnight.

Swouncing

Skipping with matzah-crumbs all over the place to post that, according to Jilli VoiceOfReason "If the Apocalypse Comes, Beep Me" Apr 13, 2005 11:03:27 pm PDT today is Lillian's birthday!

Happy birthday, you big lovely girl! With lots of wishes for your mom and all your family, as well.

Better testing, for sure.

Businesses never do stupid things, of course.

Businesses often do stupid things, but this isn't the style of stupid thing Amazon typically does with intent.

Coding and Sleeping

From my experience working in software, I can easily buy it was unintentional. But I agree with the better testing. Seems like you could have an automated way to determine if huge blocks of stuff suddenly get excluded in an unexpected way.

Lillian? Again? Already? Next thing you know, she'll be growing up or some such thing. She's a BABY.

3/5 of the way through the televised Little Dorrit--is it normal to want the entire Dorrit family dead?

I have a sudden strong craving for Cook's Illustrated's apple pie. And...it's gone. Huh.

Yep. In half an hour, our time, she becomes officially four.

[link] pics from the weekend up at the usual location.

I'm not sure HOW she became four.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Still the world's most beautiful fat lemur.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Happy birthday, Lillian!

(I love that name).

Edit: oh, yeah, I also skipped about 600 posts.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

ita, either your lofotenmoose link is seriously broke or I don't have a browser that can run it. It gives me a forbidden page in IE, even.

In fact, I was up late wrestling with CSS myself, like I was trying to round Cape Horn, with a similar amount of determination. I found a site called MaxDesign that shows off Listutorials, a Floatutorial, and a general purpose Selectutorial that were very helpful.

I just want to be able to make my own page for Zengarden, because if I can do that, I think I can claim to be a whiz at CSS stylin'.

Hippo Birdies, Lillian!
