Oh, wow. This place looks great. Oh, I feel like a witch in a magic shop.

Gothamist is running slow, but SFGate seems to have some of the same incredible photos - including those of passengers standing on the wings!

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Here's a mirror of hte pictuer up on Gothamist: [link]

Just crazy. My friends who work at 36th and 10th, on the 7th floor, said they just watched the plane float on by.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Jeez louise -- I have been slightly aggravated with an unavailable coworker all week, but then I heard she had had "a medical emergency" on Monday night, and has been "working from home" since, so I thought, OK. Then I just heard she was in a car accident, so I thought that was the emergency, but no! Turns out she's been having gall bladder problems all week and THEN had the car accident today. Yikes!

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

mac and I were on the westside with a million emergency vehicles whizzing by - now I know why. I am glad everyone seems to be ok. Crashes into water don't have a great record for survivals.

They cancelled night classes tonight.

I bet we're back in the office tomorrow though.

This looks like the first pic of the plane-boat posted to flickr, before any rescue boats showed up. Crazy!

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

That happened to me with TWA 800, which was my standard transatlantic for years.

I found out from my mom several weeks after it crashed that the youngest sister of one of my childhood friends was on that flight--she was going to Paris to study for a semester. I never knew her, they moved before she was born, but it was startling to see Mrs. Becker on the tv when they would interview family members (she was one of the more vocal of those wanting answers as to why the plane crashed).
