Woe to the fucking wicked.

It's -1 here-abouts. We have a 2-hour delay, but it looks like they're not canceling, so I must brave the cold and go to work.

Art Crawl!!!

It's -18 here too and I'm at the office.

Luckly, as I was walking to the bus stop a co-worker from a department upstairs from me saw me and gave me a lift.

It wasn't even windy and I was getting cold. (My coat is supposed to be good to -20 and it was keeping me warm. But my legs were getting cold.)

School is closed all over northern Illinois and Uh, the university is still open. Tuesday/Thursday classes are typically more busy but hardly anyone was walking to class.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

It was 6 here today this morning. Actually felt warmer than when it was 16 yesterday morning because there was almost no wind.

Tomorrow morning's supposed to be in the -2 to 3 range. And snowing. Ugh.

hip deep in pie

It's only -16 c here, plus windchill, but it's still too damn cold.

Also, I got a new Nano - a refurbished 3rd gen - yesterday. I realized that TiVo to go lets me convert TV shows that I've saved and put them on my Nano. Practically, I'll probably never use it (i get nauseous trying to read on the bus, I'm sure TV would be the same), but it did make me love my Tivo more, and I didn't think it was possible to love my TiVo more than I already do.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Hmm.... There's like a hundred degrees difference between where you all are and here. Today, projected temp is 80 degrees.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Hmm.... There's like a hundred degrees difference between where you all are and here.

I was just thinking there's a 40 degree difference compared to where I am! And it's snowing here! That really is too cold to live.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Also, here is why I love the internet. Someone on the New York LJ community posted a picture of a fire to keep us mentally warm, and got snarked on in the comments for an errant apostrophe. [link]

Coding and Sleeping

It is about -1 or so here. Warm compared to other parts.

Ann, that's a ferret.

22F here. Not cold enough to complain, not warm enough to brag.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

It's 18F here, 1F wind chill. I feel I can't really complain since I'm inside watching the beautiful snow glitter off the top of the Chrysler building with a cup of coffee in my hand. (Note: coffee not literally in hand while typing.)
