And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

It's 18F here, 1F wind chill. I feel I can't really complain since I'm inside watching the beautiful snow glitter off the top of the Chrysler building with a cup of coffee in my hand. (Note: coffee not literally in hand while typing.)

It's 7 here, north of Syracuse. Not sure about the wind chill, but I'm not going outside to check either.

BBC News has a bit on Obama bringing in a new Camelot. The headline reads "Obama echoes JFK's Romance. I figure they mean the romance with the public, because I am trying to figure out how I think Michelle Obama might react if she found out her hub had a series of playboy-style extramarital affairs. I think the words "His Ass Handed to Him" figure prominently.

Now tagless for your comfort.

So far this morning, we've played with Moon Sand, glued random shapes onto construction paper and are now eating animal crackers & milk, Owens reading a book and Liv is watching Backyardigans.

It may warm up enough to venture out to the gym.

I'm at work today. I'm very happy about this. Tonight, barring major emergencies, I get to pick up my cat. Tomorrow will bring what tomorrow brings. I hope all the buffistae dealing with sub-zero temps find a way to stay cozy today.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Those penguins were in mortal peril, man. I was trying to save them. Well, save me from watching them die. I think their actual fate was sealed before I hit play.

Wait wait wait wait WAIT... are you suggesting that yelling at the characters on screen does NOTHING?!?!?!

It's 17°F here, with a wind chil of 7°. Tonight's projected low is 4°F with a wind chill of You Don't Wanna Know, Stay Inside You Moron!

Well, Biden would get the chance to see if he could beat Bush's record of putting his foot in his mouth.
