"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Happy Anniversary, Laura and Brendon!

Is St. Patrick's Day normally characterized by the extreme slowness with which it drags? It feels like it's lasted three times as long as Monday already, and it's only mid-afternoon!

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

I'm confused. Brain dead *is* dead, isn't it? I thought brain death was the standard used for harvesting organs for transplant.

Yes. TONY is quite possibly giving out incorrect informtion, with the informtation that TMZ has (sedated, swelling on the brain) sounding more like what I'm used to seeing in the case of that nature of head injury.

(A neighbor of my parents' died a couple of years ago shortly after a skiing accident at Whistler, and their current house guest wound up in hospital after a fall on the ice in Nova Scotia shortly after that. Mother being an RN, all reports included too much information on the medical front.)

(My conclusion from all this is not to fall down in Canada.)

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

If I've logged into my work e-mail and there aren't any frantic e-mails waiting for me, that counts as an eight-hour day, right?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

God, seriously. Although my day is almost over! I'm in the weird position of being the least busy person in my department right now.

Absolutely. Have you emailed your boss for extra coverage?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

No, but with the time difference, it's a little dodgy. Plus, I have nothing to say (other than "yeah, I'm totally not working right now").

That's totally when you need to make up something to email about, see? (I have a works-from-home coworker that we're all skeptical about, and a common refrain is, "she can't even make up something to email about??" We think she really has another job on Fridays.)

It doesn't make me look independent and self-starting?

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

The internets need a good random project-status update generator. I mean, sure, generating your personal Hobbit name is cute, but there's real value in hitting a button and getting "FYI, client asked about TPS report procedure when we talked earlier (see attachments). Will be in the office on Tuesday -- let me know if you have questions."
