Have you emailed your boss for extra coverage?
No, but with the time difference, it's a little dodgy. Plus, I have nothing to say (other than "yeah, I'm totally not working right now").

That's totally when you need to make up something to email about, see? (I have a works-from-home coworker that we're all skeptical about, and a common refrain is, "she can't even make up something to email about??" We think she really has another job on Fridays.)

It doesn't make me look independent and self-starting?
The internets need a good random project-status update generator. I mean, sure, generating your personal Hobbit name is cute, but there's real value in hitting a button and getting "FYI, client asked about TPS report procedure when we talked earlier (see attachments). Will be in the office on Tuesday -- let me know if you have questions."
To celebrate the day, Michelle Obama wore green suede boots.
wow...
and had the water in the fountains on the north and south lawn dyed green!
I need my grown-up card revoked. I just went to use the zipcar to go shopping for the show I am working on, and couldn't find my card. When I called in to have them open the car, they said they could do nothing, that I could pick another card up at the office. I ask where the office is and she gives me an address on Broadway. In New York City. Finally she opens the car becauseI start crying but we couldn't find the extra zipcard, so no deal.
Then I go to catch a bus home, and realize I left my wallet on the bus I got off! No bus pass, no money, no credit card. Bus driver calls other bus, and he hasit! Luckily, he is coming back this way and I can get on his bus and tetrieve it. Now I am waiting, andhave been for 2 hours and I am freezing.
This kind of stuff never seems to happen to other adults.
(My conclusion from all this is not to fall down in Canada.)
I'm just going to say that being out of doors in Canada has not been a good place to be this winter. There seems to be someone dying in a an avalanche every week. This past week there was a man who watched his wife and child fall through the ice in their SUV. Two women in BC survived being buried alive in an avalanche. And poor Natasha Richardson.
