Suffering from serious Fall Out Boy ticket trauma. Boston sold out by 10:03, NYC by 12:04, both had hundreds of scalpers on Stub Hub by their respective quarter afters.
Tomorrow I'm shooting for Philly.
Salt Lake City isn't sold out and IT WOULD COST ME LESS TO FRIKKIN FLY THERE THAN PAY FOR A SCALPED TICKET. Grrrr.
Well damn. I haven't even checked to see when Seattle tix go on sale, and I suppose it's too late, now.
Already gone on sale and sold out. Thought I mentioned that in email.
Stayin’ Alive in the Wall
Nice. But I'm finding the necessary pitch shift really distracting (more so on PF shifting higher than the BGs shifting lower).
I heard about this a week ago because the theremin player is an acquaintance of mine, but it just went up yesterday.
Beck does an arrangement of Bowie's Sound & Vision with a 167 piece ensemble that includes, among other things, a classical choir, strings, gospel choir, brass, samba drums, dap kings, metal guitarists, gamelan, drumline snares, charango, mandolin, mirambas, mod synth, vibes, orchestra percussion, harp, piano, erhu, yodeler, alpine horn, saw, and yes -- theremin. OMG. Itunes is a bitch and a half. I haven't had major problems with it - using it for years until tonight.
I have to completely rebuild my itunes library because it went ass up. Now I see why everyone complains about itunes. what a PITA.
I am in a restaurant and I just listened to the worst cover of "Against All Odds" I ever heard. I didn't think you could actually do that to a song and have a record deal.
Then...
I am currently listening to an equally bad cover of "Our Lips Are Sealed." Is there an album of bad covers or something because this is really regrettable and forcing me out of this restaurant.
Y'all, I think I'm getting punked. They are now playing Brian McKnight.
le nubian, this seems to happen to you frequently! Does every restaurant/bar/cafe in your town have terrible music?
yes, Kate. I keep going back because I like the food and service, but I wish I had control over the music.
