A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Coincidentally just stumbled on another live-in-the-studio tUnE-yArDs video where you can see how the loops come together: [link]

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

So I'm watching the VH1 Countdown (whatever!), and Gotye is pronounced like Gaultier? I had no idea. Good thing I never said it outloud.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

With nearly 10 million views on youtube, I can't pretend to have discovered this, but I suspect most of the views are from Brazil.

The group is called "A Banda Mais Bonita Da Cidade" (the most beautiful band in town) and the song, though quite simple Brazilian pop, is arranged beautifully. And the video! Holy crap! One 6 minute long tracking shot with the audio recorded live as the singer travels through a large house meeting up with different instrumentalists and backing singers in different rooms, ending with a glorious climax. Really, you need to see this!

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Wow.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

I have discovered that my Tom McRae CD is broken, and All Maps Welcome is not on iTunes, and although it's on Amazon, it's not available. I really just want For The Restless, if anyone has it (and is willing to share!) or knows where I could find it?

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Goyte didn't like the Glee cover of his song. Does not like autotune.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Every time I see the name Goyte, I read goatse.

The first few instrumental bars of that sone remind me of another song, but I cannot place it.

Ann, that's a ferret.

you aren't the only one. unfortunate name.

Especially since it's an Anglicized "Gautier."

I may have mentioned my views on autotune before. When it was new and used occasionally as a gimmick, I could live with it. When Cher used it on "Believe," at least (1) it was a novelty, and (2) Cher had already proved that she could sing without it. But now, it's vastly overused and hopelessly obvious. At least try to use it like make-up -- if you have to use it, at least try to make it look like you don't.
