Okay, I'm desperate. I was listening to the putumayo music cafe on the way home today between 5:10 and 5:30pm EST, and on came a song that I thought was in my music collection but is apparently not. I tried googling the words I heard, tried the stations playlist, but can't find it. I'm in NJ, it was 91.5. Their website seems to have a limited playlist for several weeks at a time. The track sounded like Saboro, the artist sounded like it began with an E, and it was Arabic. Kinda electronic fusion. I know it's a long shot, but why the heck not try?

Just want to flat-out brag that I'm a little hungover today because I was out super late getting drunk with Stephin Merritt, most of the other Magnetic Fields, and much of Devotchka.

So cool! What'd you talk about? The Archies? Tom Lehrer? Obscure synth pop bands of the Eighties? Neil Gaiman? Break your vow of Omerta and tell us!
I remember The Ramones, Fleetwood Mac, 33 1/3 books, whether being in a band with longtime friends is a blessing or curse, why my sister is one of his favorite people, Pale Fire, cognac vs. rye whiskey, The Feelies, Patsy Cline, and various movies that have faded a bit in memory.
