Buffista Music 4: Needs More Cowbell!

There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Completely random post: The best ever song about a dying rabbit is "Rabbits Dying" by Throwing Muses.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

The best ever song about a dying rabbit is "Rabbits Dying" by Throwing Muses.

Was it killed by a grey heron?

Well, the song doesn't say. But to extrapolate from the one instance I'm familiar with of a grey heron killing and eating a rabbit, I'd say "no," as the heron drowned the rabbit first before eating it. The titular dying rabbit in the Throwing Muses song is not drowning.

edit to make sense about the heron killing the rabbit....

Yeah, parts of that song are oddly upbeat (musically) and uptempo for a song about a dying rabbit....

Anyway, up next in my Random Playlist o' Five-star Songs is "Sex Beat" by The Gun Club. I will forever associate that song with Hec's reading of it at Quimby's....

It was awesome!

Too bad the sucky microphone I bought for my iPod did such a bad job of recording it....

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

"Sex Beat" by The Gun Club.

My favorite parts of that song are the "guh"s.

The Death of the Emo Haircut

The poster boy for the so-called “emo haircut,” Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz has ended his long-term affair with the flatiron, at least for the time being. At Sunday night’s Fall Out Boy/Blink-182 show at Madison Square Garden in New York, Wentz declared it was “the death of the emo haircut,” and had Blink’s Mark Hoppus shave his head onstage while FOB played “Saturday.”
