Wesley: I stabbed you. I should apologize for that. But I'm honestly not sure how. I think it'll just be awkward. Gunn: Good call. Wesley: Okay.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Tom, did you post this in the wrong thread?

Yes, I did.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Here's the lineup for next week's Hardly Strictly Bluegrass.

Let me remind you all...it's free!

Favorite bandname: Marty Stuart and his Fabulous Superlatives.

One expects Emmylou Harris, Steve Earle, Lyle Lovett, The Flatlanders, and Del McCroury.

But this year we get Steve Martin, Nick Lowe, Marianne Faithful, Robyn Hitchcock and MC Hammer (leading a gospel troupe).

Because books.

I have to gush just for a minute about the Diane Birch album, Bible Belt. (I turned the sound down and the first song off, but it might not hold, so be prepared for possible sound if you click.)

Bluesy, with a hint of gospel and soul and rock, and really gorgeous, full melodies and hooks. I am newly in love.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Amy, I recently discovered her too! I'm really loving that album.

My new favorite song (of the moment): Percussion Gun by White Rabbits (video link). Wow! A great video to along with a great song.

Now I need to hunt down more White Rabbits, but I fear that after an introduction like that, many of their songs will be a bit of a letdown.

I've been a huge fan of White Rabbits for a few months now. The whole album that "Percussion Gun" is from (It's Frightening) is awesome. I like Fort Nightly a lot as well.

eta: But apparently I'm not quite a big enough fan to remember that their name is plural....

I think the first time I heard Percussion Gun (a few days ago) I stopped breathing.

Theramin cat

Animated cats play the theramin and other wackiness in a new video for TMBG's "Why Does the Sun Shine? (The Sun is a Mass of Incandescent Gas"
