Giles: Stop that, you two. Riley: He started it... Xander: He called me a bad name! I think it was bad; it might have been Latin.

Buffista Music 4: Needs More Cowbell!

There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Wow, that was surprisingly salacious.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Um...

huh.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

David, you Fire Engines Ignoramus, I'm disappointed! I thought that you would not only be familiar with that clip, but that you'd be a fount of background information.

I'm ashamed at my complete missage of that milestone in cartoon/rock/porn intertexuality. Of note: Prince was on Warner Brothers.

aka "The artist formerly known as Corwood Industries."

Bouncing around facebook is the news that Ellie Greenwich just passed away.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

How often did Animaniacs get away with stuff like this?

I distinctly remember a pianist joke as well as "Conjugate!?! I hardly know her!"

That's sad for me. Aside from being one of the all-time great songwriters out of the Brill Building, she kind of kept faith with New York rock and roll. She went to see lots of bands at CBGBS and sang backup for Cyndi Lauper and stuff like that.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

The Dead Weather killed kast night. I've heard better musicians but I've never seen a performance like the one Alison Mosshart put on last night. She spent much of the show up on one monitor or another (which really helped the view from the pit) writhing and contorting as she belted out the lyrics, reminding me of the love child of Jim Morrison and Patty Smith.

The weird thing was the number of people in the pit who kept complaining about the dancing. I was relieved when the full-blown moshing broke out. Who stands in the pit and expects to not get jostled? I even joined in for a little bit. Suddenly I was 17 again and having the time of my life.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

I have most all my ducks in a row.

But I suspect they are in the wrong thread.
