I hope you don't think that I just come over for the spells and everything. I mean, I really like just talking and hanging out with you and stuff.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I'm not down with the John/Ellen. However, I have read some John/Jo with interest, although not with total conviction.

Demographics of SPN fic. Apparently there's currently more D/C than Wincest. Damn. But additively--there hasn't been a dropoff in Wincest volume since S4.

Also, Dean usually bottoms in Wincest? WTF? There's a usual? What's up with that?

She's got graphs. Man, there is no het. Poor Ellen.

Because books.

There *were* graphs! That was awesome.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

It's manipulative and melodramatic, and it still kicked my tear ducts into gear. The lyrics sell it. And it's "part one," which implies eventual more parts. Lucifer's Cage.

"Sassy"? It's a thing? I mean, yeah, mooseboy needs some lovin', so why not with Cas. But, Sassy?

vanguard of the socialist Hollywood liberal homosexualist agenda

In fact, John/Ellen would have been scorching hot.

I personally think that John/Ellen and Dean/Ellen are not mutually exclusive. But then I'm like that.

I love the portmanteau Sassy. Mostly because I can't take the pairing seriously, even as I call out every Sassy moment onscreen. I think it's wrong.

Then again, not as wrong as some reincarnated John/Castiel I read. That was just...not with your son's angel. Dude, have boundaries.

eta: I had a dream in which I read a fic summary wherein Sam pledged a frat in order to try and establish replacement brotherhood in his life, and it failed miserably. Now I'm interested in seeing the fic for real.

Because books.

I always found John/Jo a little squicky. Mostly because I think John/Ellen is a sure bet, but also because, hello, Jo would have been a BABY. And then daddy issues ahoy and ... No.

I think all of the John/Jo I've read has been AU enough that they played with her age a bit. How old is she supposed to be?

Well, she had been to college, but hadn't liked it, so I'm going to say maybe twenty? But iirc, Ellen said they hadn't seen John in quite a while when she first meets the boys, which would have made Jo a teenager.

The "Sam-Hain" episode is on TNT (oh, people, a little research, you know?), and it's the third time off the top of my head I can remember Dean being impressed by a bong or mentioning getting high. Which still strikes me as funny, because Dean's image is very much the straightforward beer-drinking type.
