You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I love the yorkie quote but I had to vote for cakehole.

  • Family over normal – applies in nearly all situations

Bracket #4

  • Dean’s message to dad – so damn heartbreaking
  • Shorts – it’s all in the delivery

Because books.

Season 1, Round 1, Bracket 3

  • family business: Because it is!
  • killer truck: Still cracks me up.
  • innocence: Dean always more for Sam than himself.
  • normal: Dean is the most loyal ever.

Season 1, Round 1, Bracket 4

  • I need your help, Dad: The most vulnerable we've seen Dean yet, I think.
  • shorts: Because this is SO Dean.
  • be brave: I am a huge sucker for Dean with a kid.
  • Hold me, Sam: From vulnerable to total smart mouth.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Sera talks about the finale, reveals nothing. But in a good way.

I have loved the stars too fondly to be fearful of the night.

S1-R1-B1 - Rules: siblings – can’t live with them, can’t live without them - Cuss at me: Missouri knows Dean - White meat: - Vegas: Dean’s ability to take lemons and make lemonade (or at least fake it)

S1-R1-B2 - Fish: the boys working together - Cheapen: Dean is unapologetically who he is - Bitch/Jerk: again, the sibling thing rings true - Bad person: Sam is subtle but effective

S1-R1 –B3 - Saving people: the order of the phrases made me want to watch the show; I really think that John’s motto would have been “hunting things, avenging Mary” which I wouldn’t have found nearly as interesting, no matter the pretty - Guidance counselor: ‘cause we’ve all had one - Innocence: the longing guts me - Normal: Dean’s entire belief system in 8 words

S1-R1-B4 - Need help: Dean still believes in his Dad - Vampires: ‘cause Angelus notwithstanding, vampires ARE funny - Mom: Dean’s memories are all he has of her - Psychic: pop culture references FTW

Excellent. Some of you are still on crack, but excellent nonetheless.

I just read a disturbing fic (Dean/Bobby? How could it not be?) that had this line that I just adore:

if you’ve got two Winchesters, you need one of ‘em to be Dean or you’ve got a fight on your hands

All the S1 and S2 quotes about family, etc, just make me want to sigh at his broken devotion.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I was in my comic book store, and I overheard a conversation the manager was having a customer. All I heard was the word "Trickster," which made me turn my head. And then she mentioned the characters living the same day over and over again and one of them kept dying.

"Supernatural?" I asked. Yep. She'd only seen a couple episodes. That one and one where they were trapped in a police station, and the FBI agent had caught them, and then the dead people or possessed people or evil people were coming, and they went to the blonde demon chick for help, and it was really creepy because Lilith showed up at the end.

It's funny to hear the show described by non-fans.

Dude, she was totally watching the TNT reruns the other day then! That's right where they were!
