The second one was tough, but I'm going to go with amateur, because the first one really needs Dean's reaction.

Slaughter--Utterly Dean, bare to the walls of who he is
Kill you all--again, Dean's raison d'etre
Chick flick, bitch, jerk--laying series groundwork here
Metallica--character foundation

Saving people--This one is hard, because both are cornerstones
killer truck--great line, a real standout in a bad ep
squeal--mostly because I'm not fond of the other line, for multiple reasons
haunt--I sneer in the face of death--oh Dean!

I need your help, Dad--the first time we see how deep the cracks in Dean's armor are
Shorts--'cause, funny!

Season 1, Round 1, Bracket #2:

• Meg/Dean: Dean making promises he intends to keep

• Hurt my brother: see above reasoning.

• bitch/jerk: iconic Dean and Sam

• Humming Metallica: Because I use this as status at times.

Season 1, Round 1, Bracket #3:

• Family Business: It’s what we are built on.

• Killer truck: by default

• Wish you could too: recently this scene means so much more.

• take care of the car: means I love you in Dean speak.

Season 1, Round 1, Bracket #4:

• Phone call to Dad: First time I wanted to break out the blankets and soup.

• shorts: because he really doesn’t

• Pie : The other line was more compelling but it was a lost moment for me. On the otherhand I still think of Dean and pie.

• You and me, we're all that's left.: Oh Sam.

I have to say, from looking at the totals so far, some of you people are very wrong. But I won't post totals until closer to the halfway mark. We have 9 votes in for brackets 1 & 2, and 7 for 3 & 4.
