How excited are we talking, ita?
I mean, damn,
Castiel talking to Ruby! About being tempted to DISOBEY!
Dean seemingly being used by heaven as God's go-to torturer of choice! Ack! They saved you from Hell so you could be their wetworks guy, Dean! Ack! Not because of any virtues!
Sammy going all Darth Vader!
These are exciting things!
If it's
Dean going all Torturer!Demon on the bad guy...
okay, yeah, disturbing much. And the tagline
'WHEN GOOD FAILS, EVIL MUST BE MET WITH A GREATER EVIL'
does make me wince, in a post-911 kinda way.
Still - exciting!

So, clearly I am all over SPN this season, and have enjoyed the hell out of rewatching earlier seasons. But I'm wondering whether I'm being clueless/culpable/whatever in glossing over the show's issues with gender and race.
Thoughts? Either in general, or in regard to current season?
Oh. my, indeed.
One funny thing, until I read Fays second to last post, I thought the screen said,
"When God fails...."
Uh, oops? (Though I was thinking, "Wow, writers... ballsy!" Also, I am now wondering what that misread (twice, no less) says about me.
Holy Schnikes. There is excitement, interest, anticipation, dread and revulsion. Sometimes at the same time. Whitefonted promo quotes
"He's doing God's Work"
::sound of heart breaking::
"you have no idea"
::whimper::
Beverly, I may need some of that salt over here.
Oh god. I can't watch from where I am and I'm all torn about do I want to know what's causing such reactions. Oy. Oh boys.
Holy crap. And I thought the presidential campaign was stressful.
I think I saw Castiel punch out Uriel!
Yes, theories abound, and I wonder now which of my boys is doing God's will and which is the greater evil.
Damn, Kripke is good.
Okay, clearly I need to watch this promo. Or maybe I shouldn't so I am more surprised? A dilemma.
Anyway, I just got back from
Push,
and who should be in the first ten minutes but Sam Weechester! Yes, it's true, Colin Ford can now grow up to look like Jared Padalecki AND Chris Evans.
Damn. I bet he can pull for school dances.
::passes Austin salt. hides eyes. is big wuss::
But I'm wondering whether I'm being clueless/culpable/whatever in glossing over the show's issues with gender and race.
I didn't want you to feel ignored, Fay. Though others can speak better than I, because if you're on that train I'm a few rows back.
That being said, I think this season is doing better than last. (Wishful Thinking notwithstanding...)
