Silliness alert: I've concluded Dean's love is a natural demon repellent. The meat suits only ever revolt their demon riders when Dean sends out his yellow crayon laser looks (even one-eyed, the demon repellent seems to be powerful stuff)!
Dogs. Which country he's visited in the last few years he liked the most and why. Which he'd like to explore more, and why.
My own inability to think of those topics might serve to illustrate why I'm so terrible at small talk.
I only ever want to ask questions of the writers, not the actors. I rarely care about an actor's motivation (my ex-BiL once had some completely insanely long backstory in his head for the character he played in a 30 second spot for some state agency, and I realized at that point that what the actor is thinking is TMI, and besides, they're actors! They're the opposite of people!), but the writer influences are fascinating.
I want to ask Jensen about his personal jewelry. There's a bead bracelet he seems to wear always, and a pendant on a beaded chain, as well. I'd like to know what meaning they have for him. I'd volunteer about my own first, of course, and gauge his probable receptivity. But I would like to know. Intrusive and far too personal--but I'd ask the same of you, or any friendly person wearing something intriguing, whether it's someone I know, or someone just met.
I tend not to be very outgoing, and falling back on personal trivia is a strategy. Plus, I think talismanic jewelry gives personality clues, and if it's truly talismanic, most people like to share those meanings.

There's one picture of Jensen with Jared in the background of a shot of Danneel. I'd post it, but the one I can repost is postage stamp size and you really can't see anything behind her. I haven't seen one of Gen at the wedding, but I'm sure she was there. Evidently JP wasn't a groomsman.
Hilarie Burton was one of the bridesmaids! I wonder if JDM was there with her.
