Supernatural 2: Why is it our job to save everybody?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Their destiny was to save the world, at whatever cost, and they did that.

I'm not sure what your objection was. Did you want our heroes to not save the world? They were told they needed to participate in its ruin, and they didn't.

If they didn't save the world, they wouldn't be Winchesters. They've grown from two boys dragged along in a vengeance trip to two men who were ultimately willing to sacrifice everything (i.e. each other) for everyone else.

I wouldn't want anything else for them. That is their beautiful story, besides their relationship.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Then I'm glad you were happy with the resolution.

I'm relieved there's somewhere to go from here.

...all my words have been taken by my work. - Mala

I know irl streetlights burn out all the time but in fiction it only happens for a reason.

I have had more than my fair share of streetlights burn out as I walk under them. It creeps me out.

Beverly, narratively, they were destined to save the world. Inside their universe, they were destined to lay it to waste. They didn't. So I'm confused about you saying they succumbed to destiny.

It's very Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

It's weird because I never notice a streetlight burn out at a distance. It only seems to happen when I'm right underneath one. Perhaps I should be on the lookout for birds with strange markings.

Perhaps I should be on the lookout for birds with strange markings.

Or really, really tall angsty men.

Art Crawl!!!

Hmmm, I volunteer to walk after Laga and "protect" her from any tall angsty men with emotive hair that may cross her path.

Just being altruistic.

And I'll walk after sumi. 'Cause where the tall, angsty men go, so go their hot-ass brothers, sooner or later. And he'll need someone to do talk to while his brother's occupied with sumi.

Who's going to handle the angel?

Oh, wait, maybe me.

Kneel before Glod. ~Stephen Colbert

Yeah, she thinks Sam is Lucifer. I'm pretty adamant he's not

Dean promised Death he would allow Sam to jump into the pit. Death warned Dean that he couldn't cheat Death. I would assume since Death isn't coming after Dean and Bobby's soul is seemingly intact and he's still on his feet, and according to Chuck!God, Bobby would be hunting a Rugaru the next week, all deals have been squared.

The Sam-shape under that streetlamp is Sam, because... Well, just because.
