Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Welcome back, Amy!

I was surprised by a brief flash of amusement in the midst of it.

Thank god. But the more I thought about it, the sadder that got too. I'm in that pre-Dark Side of the Moon place where everything is sad.

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

The funny is very funny and sad. I don't think it's a spoiler to say we are all doomed. Because I have no idea what is going to happen. Thank God I know there is a season six. Only thing getting me through this week.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

I watched the end of 4x02, and man, I really miss that bad-ass, terrifying, sexual-tension oozing Castiel. Who also already possessed an otherly sense of humour and personality. Man, I didn't realize/remember how much they screwed over his character.

I love Cas. He has just evolved. And may or may not contain Jimmy.

You think Point of No Return!Cas was screwed over? He was bad assed! I never stopped loving him, but, damn, it burned fierce in that episode. Just beating the shit out of everyone. BAMF indeed.

But I also like Castiel who wants painkillers and who summons a speck of angel mojo to fake out Pestilence and lop off his fingers. And who discovers the joy of a shotgun.

That's my boy.

PLEASE LIVE.

"I make mistakes, but I am on the side of Good," the Golux said, "by accident and happenchance.” – The 13 Clocks, James Thurber

Man, I didn't realize/remember how much they screwed over his character.

In my opinion, it didn't help that they started making him the butt of easy jokes so often. Hard to view him as "bad-ass, terrifying, sexual-tension oozing Castiel" when he's being seen as the guy who's fumbling for the correct word or action.

edit - I loved fierce Castiel who went into protective mode. I just wish we could have seen more of that version of him.

...all my words have been taken by my work. - Mala

I like all flavors of Cas and do not think his character has been screwed over at all.

I think the Casifesto is an interesting look at the badassedness of Cas as maintained throughout his time on the show, but I think it disregards his transition from faith in God to faith in Dean, and that he may be a fierce warrior with no time or patience to bother to fit it, but he still is about devotion to a figurehead.
