After this week's appearance on Nip/Tuck I feel safe that fandom is unlikely to show him anything freakier than his storyline on that show.
Also, wasn't he, like, an intern in the Clinton-era White House or something?
I mean, that's got to set a pretty high standard of freaktastic.
once SPN is over and they go their separate ways.
what? why would they go separate ways? This makes me want to curl up in a ball with a blanket.
I just watched PS I love you. Why did no one tell me JDM has an after shower scene? Guh AND oh dear.
JP looks awkward in those shots. Like every wanna-be youngster with no taste and clothes that wear him rather than the other way around at the clubs.
Those were dreadful photos of him. He looked uncomfortable, and that was an awful makeup job. Poor JP.
How much do I love that Jim Beaver didn't like the movie list meme so he made his own from 250 films that he has rated 10 on imdb? [link] Ha. There isn't enough of an age difference for Jim to even be my father, but his grumpy old man attitude so reminds me of my granddad.
I saw
Friday the 13th
! Jared acquitted himself admirably, and was ADORABLE and huge and fighty and often muddy. And rode a motorcycle! Which was weirdly too small for him. As many things are, I suppose.
Beverly, thanks so much for taking the time to answer. I had much the same impression of JA: polite, professional, witty and charming, yet a bit reserved. Certainly the stalkery thing would explain that. How you describe JA and JP together on stage is precisely what I observed while watching the Chicago con YouTube vids. JP is definitely the more effervescent of the two and JA seems more than content to let Jared drive.
I have to add that I think this impression of JA is what made Eye of the Tiger so much fun. Seeing him really go with that and have fun was really cool.
I have committed SPN-fic. 800 words of Ruby and the price she's willing to pay.

I get the impression that JA is very much as he was in Eye of the Tiger around his friends, the crew. It is only in interviews and when he feels less a part of the ensemble that his shyness appears.
There is definitely a progression of JA becomming more at ease as the panels and con appearances have progressed. In earlier appearances you see him looking frequently for JP's social cues and support. His smiles didn't always reach his eyes. Now they are much more of a team. JP said he was not afraid to do the church window stunt with JA beside him. I have gained the impression that this is a very similar feeling that JA has towards JP regarding public appearances.
We got to watch them turn from boys into men. I am hopeful their future is fulfilling to them both, whether in front or behind the camera. It would be a nice thing for the fifth season if they were allowed to direct an episode. I don't expect genius, but then again they did have Kim Manners as a model.
eta: Yay 'suela! I can't wait to read. I guess I have to though because I can barely keep my eyes open. But I have that to look forward to tomorrow!
I realise that there is a danger of being a total pillock here, but I'm pretty much empathising like hell with this assessment of the Ackles. Even whilst realising that this is very silly, because heaven knows we're wildly different people. Still - I definitely grok the whole bouncing-around-being-funny-and-confident-and-shit-in-one's-comfort-zone (which in my case can happily include acting, and hosting shit with a big audience, and teaching classes) whilst also being secretly quite reserved in other circumstances. (And people who have met me within the context of me being sunny and Leo-ish are often downright incredulous about the whole shyness thing. But reserve: I haz it. It's just so shy that it hides really well.)
Meanwhile - YAY for 'Suela-fic! Looking forward to that one!
(Just need to finish my own gorram SPN story before I read, you know,
anything.
Finish, damn you! Finish!)
