Supernatural 2: Why is it our job to save everybody?
[NAFDA]. This is where we talk about the CW series Supernatural! Anything that's aired in the US on TV (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though — if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.
I'm thinking we are not going to get resolution this season regarding the amulet (I don't want it to have just been thrown out like that) or the all powerful kid (don't remember his name).
CJ caught the Serenity Valley reference and was bouncing in his seat for a while. I absolutely LOVED Death, thought I really wouldn't have been able to eat anything he offered me. No matter how tasty.
Yellow crayon refers to the speech Xander gave Dark Willow to talk her down from ending the world:
Xander: I know you're in pain. I can't imagine the pain you're in. And I now you're about to do something apocalyptically evil and stupid and hey... still want to hand. You're Willow.
Willow: Don't call me that.
Xander: First day of kindergarten. You cried because you broke the yellow crayon and you were too afraid to tell anyone. You've come pretty far, ending the world, not a terrific notion. But the thing is? Yeah. I love you. I loved crayon-breaky Willow and I love.. scary veiny Willow. So if I'm going out, it's here. If you wanna kill the world? Well, then start with me. I've earned that.
Willow: You think I won't?
Xander: It doesn't matter. I'll still love you.
I totally see behemoth killer in Sam these days. I miss the geeky college guy who could hide his size. Or at least try. But I like this big sexy guy too. Different hot.
I just wish he wasn't insecure.
It is for Dean about giving up Sammy. In that key way he's a crap choice to save the world. He'll sacrifice himself in a heartbeat, but Sam is more important to him than we are.

Jensen did a great job acting out "choking it down".
I loved Death too. Was anyone else surprised at how conventional he sounded at first. Somehow I expected an unusual voice, booming or very soft, and it was so normal like a barista taking my coffee order.
He'd sacrifice himself in a heartbeat, but Sam is more important to him than we are.
And I love him for it.
Thanks for yellow crayon speech, but I'm still too stupid to get it. How is Dean the yellow crayon and why is that a bad thing?
Jensen was totally amazing last night--meeting with Death was on fire, as he was at the end with Bobby.
I still can't get over the throwaway "your demon lover Brady" and the fact that the LJs, etc I've read have made
nothing
of it. Dude! Fanbait! It's the Kripke treat.
I'm still too stupid to get it. How is Dean the yellow crayon and why is that a bad thing?
Just the premise that it's the power of love that will get Sam back from the dark side, and that Dean will be able to talk him through it, rather than a fight or a spell or something more manly and active.

But...but...I love that notion. And I loved Xander's yellow crayon speech. It might have been one of two times I cried in Buffy. I had no idea people hated that.
I love that notion
That is why we hide from so many people.
If brotherly love saves the world on Supernatural, well, FUCK YEAH. I'm also down with a big gunfight or other resolutions, but I don't think loving Sam is taking a back seat and losing agency.
And so freaking what if Sam has a big part in ending the whole thing. People need chilling.
I like that it's starting to look like Dean will be a free agent, with Lucifer!Sam and Michael!Adam. It gives them an opening, I think, for some unexpected shenanigans.
I wonder if Michael will end up being an opponent to Operation Recage Lucifer.
Of course, if Dean does end up killing Sam, then he's just doing what Daddy told him to, so it would be right and proper.
I wonder if Jake Abel can properly pull off Michael?
