Oh, I adored the random promo vid in the middle of the episode. It was beautiful. I want to watch it again and again. Lyrical.

Supernatural 2: Why is it our job to save everybody?
[NAFDA]. This is where we talk about the CW series Supernatural! Anything that's aired in the US on TV (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though — if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.
Sam's only stupidity was considering his plan to say yes, but that's a pretty big stupid. If only because it's such a huge risk to assume he will be able to take the reins when Lucifer is in there.
But I can why he wants to consider it. And I can't say it's surprising that he did.
He was also drinking straight out of the bottle and angsting over his brother dumping him for a demon when he did it. I'll judge him properly next week when he tries to defend his position sober, as he no doubt will.
I was amazed Sam wasn't yelling that this was exactly like him trusting Ruby, and Dean wasn't a huge fan of that, because I certainly was.
Sam and Bobby were definitely the most themselves. I loved Bobby's "counter offer" to Crowley. So him. Dean--just seems to be the patsy for the writer's right now. "We need someone to _______, let's have Dean do it!"
What have we got left, two episodes?
Sam did bring up Ruby.
Pairing requests: Castiel/Crowley. Gabriel/Crowley. Sam/Brady. Sam/Brady/Jess. Pre or post-demon.
How long do you think I'll have to wait?
Did he? Man, this is why I need a DVR.
I feel like even post-hell, Dean's internal organs must have undergone some serious bruising. He's always getting *kicked* and it makes me cringe.
Sam/Brady. Sam/Brady/Jess. Pre or post-demon.
Oh yeah. Gimme.
Only Dean felt off to me, for the middle bit.
I was bothered by the end bit as well. I wish I'd had more insight into his head when he was standing there watching Sam. I don't think it was very big brother Dean-like to just stand by and watch. I get that he was giving Sam his moment of revenge, but something still felt off about Dean in that scene.
ETA: If someone finds an online link to the promo I'd love to watch it.
He's always getting *kicked* and it makes me cringe.
His poor brain! All the concussions...
I was bothered by the end bit as well.
I still have to rewatch the end, but by the time Dean got Brady back to the house, he was working for me again. I found him strangely OOC from where he agreed to go without Sam all the way until Crowley bagged Brady.
People at IO9 are saying that Brady killing Jess wasn't a retcon.
Who did we think killed Jess up until this point if not the YED? I'm not complaining...I think it works perfectly well and not contradictorily for it to have been under his orders, and deliciously for Sam to have been watched and manipulated so closely, but dude, most people would have told you Azazel did it before last night. I don't get why there's so much debate.
That did surprise me, because I did assume YED himself was doing the wet work, as it were, but it also works perfectly well for me to know a henchman was carrying out his plan.
