Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

The only SPN death that I am in such denial about is Ellen. And that's not actual denial, just I dug her so much and I wish she weren't dead.

Reading too fast is dangerous. I caught "Ellen" "dug her so much" and I went to a zombie place.

I have read Misha slash but Cas slash has had no pull for me. I guess that means they are separate to me.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Cas fixating on his charge in a way that has no human analog makes total sense to me. He's dome tremendous things for this man, and their relationship is otherworldly. He will die for him: rule 1) in a Winchester relationship. And the guy on the other end of the relationship is Deano. The man who can pervert anything. Who can pull so hard on his side of any relationship, who can demand to see it in his terms because he doesn't see how he could believe it. Who needs to be beaten to within an inch of his life, to see raw pain, as opposed to a smile and an outstretched hand.

Coupled with a falling angel who doesn't know what love is and doesn't believe he's allowed to love, that this must be some sort of thing he's not allowed to do, that this is either dirty and shameful, or a sign of how important a step it is to take, how kinda freaky it is that he can transfer his imprint from God to Big D Winchester. But this time he wants response.

It needs to start off all desperate and messed up. Because the emotional charge is pretty much on the paper. But where from there? Terror. Denial. Stolen drunk kisses. Lying to each other. Terror of abandonment,

And, if you have my favourite ingredient, a Sam tearing his hair out in frustration at the two crazy kids.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Dammit.

I humbly request your recs...

Because the way you explain it, yes.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Cass, have you hit my small Dean/Cas tag up?

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

Actually I'd like both boys to die fending off the apocalypse. And the final season is a prequel. Or Missouri and Castiel fighting crime.

Well, I can safely say Thursday's Child hits many of those notes.

I also do appreciate a well-turned PWP, but mostly the first-timers. I do like to work out how in hell they turned around and made that first kiss. That's a big deal of the draw for me. Established is not as much of a D/C draw, although it can be for other pairing. Sassy, for instance. They have so many other problems, like hiding it from Dean, and the fact that they're just not meant to be...though the forbidden lure of the angel blood and the abominated soul trying to do good has its appeal.

I'm now down to plowing through random delicious recs, and man, the things people do and don't tag for. It's not Dean/OMC if some guy just grabs his ass. On the flip side, if Dean's hooking at age 9, I'd really like a tag or an author's note that spare me that story, you know?

And the final season is a prequel.

I think the genie is out of the box with JP. JA could play young, but JP is rapidly expanding to fill the northern continent, and I don't think that can ever be undone out of fic.

I have that open already...

Wheeee, new fic!

"I make mistakes, but I am on the side of Good," the Golux said, "by accident and happenchance.” – The 13 Clocks, James Thurber

As a rule I don't read fic that has an angel as part of the slash pairing. I prefer my angels to be "Other" and to stay that way. (By the way, Anna was still fully human - the result of having fallen at that, she wasn't an angel when she and Dean had their Titanic/soft-focus lovemaking session in the backseat of Metallicar). That being said, if anyone cares to read Sam/Castiel, I can sincerely recommend Like A Rolling Thunder Chasing the Wind and its sequel Mercy Comes With the Morning, by eloise_509. I just checked my Delicious notes, and for the first story I wrote "Beautifully written. The angels are battling Lilith, and Uriel and Castiel are watching the Winchesters. Castiel comes to believe there is hope for Sam. The angels are never less than "Other." " For the sequel: " Sam and Dean are drifting apart, as Dean is caught more and more in his memories of hell. He's drinking, while Sam hunts alone. Castiel makes the choice to fall from heaven, so he can be with Sam. Sam is still being sought by Lilith, who wants the power Azazel left in his blood. The story is just as much about Dean and Sam rebuilding their brotherly bond as it is about Sam and Castiel. Wonderful."
