Why is Ganesh a Black dude?
That confused me too.
Matt Frewer! Hell yes!
That's who that was! I knew he looked familiar.
Still, Ganesh? Really? I can see Odin getting all bloodthirsty, and Kali getting messy, but Ganesh? Baldur?
Maybe he was just there for the beheadings. They give him nostalgia. And angst.
But now I feel weirdly sad about the people WITH NO GODS.
I know! I mean, that was a lot of gods killed right there.
I did like the idea that the old gods were annoyed about the Judeo-Christian apocalypse threatening to destroy the planet.
Yeah, I felt like their intent was in the right place (and like Jilli, there was a lot I liked), but the writing sort of fell short of that, and I'm avoiding the rest of the Internets, as I don't have the brainbandwidth.
Maybe this will be the thing that gets God back in the game, and he'll start by resurrecting Gabriel (and the gods)
I would be fine if God brought back Gabriel. That kind of makes sense. But if they go the route of the Judeo-Christian god resurrecting a bunch of other deities, my head will possibly explode with rage.
That is a good point, Jilli. I take it back--I want them to resurrect themselves.

They are going to need an elephant and a lot of spare arms.
Did anyone else think Dean (Jensen?) looked a lot better rested this ep that he has in a while?
I thought he looked younger and fresher than he has in ages.

He kinda looked like the shorter of those two random dudes they show in promos.
Weird.
They must have filmed this right after a shooting hiatus.
I lovedlovedloved the scene between Gabriel and Lucifer--Pellegrino and Speight brought it. Same kind of chemistry and energy as some Ackles-Padalecki scenes. They really worked well with and off each other.
VD--so, Elena and Damon are in the basement, waiting outside the panic room while Steffen detoxes from human blood? Okay!
