Supernatural 2: Why is it our job to save everybody?
[NAFDA]. This is where we talk about the CW series Supernatural! Anything that's aired in the US on TV (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though — if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.
We've heard Detroit referenced twice. Lucifer said that's where it would be, and in Dean's trip to the future. I assume we'll be visiting Detroit soon. What I don't remember was whether Sam went there alone in the now-defunct future, if it was addressed at all (I think it was, and I think he did, but it's been months since I've seen it).
Morgana, I also remember the "hey, that's May!" time prediction.
The only way I won't (I think) be completely upset with Sam saying yes is if it's a plan. If he caves, I'll probably be pretty bitter.
There might be ramifications (as in, no takebacks) from Dean already having said yet, and that seems fair. Unfortunate, but fair.
A plan could play out in really cool ways. I just think someone's got to say yes to someone and make it stick, or the whole setup will seem anticlimactic.
Either way, we're in for pain.
I honestly don't think there would be a S6 if Sam said yes deliberately and without it being part of a plan. After winning back Dean's trust, which is what S5 has been all about, throwing it away would destroy their relationship utterly, beyond redemption.
If he's tricked into it somehow, or if he agrees as part of some plan, that's another thing.
I don't particularly want another season of rebuilding trust. I'll watch this show regardless of where they land, but I hope S6 has something new to tell.
I think there will be Dean!Michael and Sam!Lucifer in the finale. I like the tricked into it or part of a plan scenario best.
I would really like Sam to have grown solidly beyond the point of being tricked into it. I guess if it's really clear to Dean he was suckered in, but still I think it would damage the progress he's made, and the progress they've made as a team and as brothers. So I desperately hope Kripke doesn't go there.
ehab, I spoiler-fonted out that phrase in your post, and I think it might need deleting, although everyone at the cons seem to have been really careful about spoilery material that I've seen.
Sorry about that, I deleted the con stuff.
And I'd prefer the boys have a clever plan that works.

This is how I feel, although sad to say I won't be altogether surprised if they decide to throw Sam under the dee-monic bus again. I've been so upset with what they've done with his character (or rather, with what they haven't done with his character) as the show's progressed that I have no faith in their treatment of him any longer. And I have to avoid other message boards for my own sanity becase the slavering hordes out there will only be satisifed with his death. They don't really seem to care if he dies while housing Lucifer or in an act of redemption while saving Dean, as long as death is the end result.
Entertainment Weekly does a top 10 Supernatural episodes. Needless to say I disagree, but I haven't been able to clarify anything more than "You have to include The End!" and "Mystery Spot was also very sad!"
Otherwise, ten? Hard. And props to season 5 for making it even harder.
