I just re-watched The Benders and I was struck by how well casted the show is.

Everyone in that episode was fantastic, from officer Kathleen to Missy Bender and Pa Bender.

I wonder who does their casting because really they're yet another behind-the-scenes talent.

Also, I'd love Officer Kathleen to reappear one day. Jessica Steen is great!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

The pilot we got is so much better than that script. I much prefer the history of the boys raised as hunters, rather than being raised by family and distrusting their father from afar.

I have to say, It's A Terrible Life is lovely eye candy. JP in short sleeves and JA in dress shirts and suspenders--delish. And at least something to smile about, a little.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

In season 7 all evil has been vanquished and the boys open a pizza place.

The Dean girls will flip when Castiel gets married off to Nathan Fillion in a later season.

I'm pretty well Dean/Castiel (except they can never leave Sam--those people are crazy--Sam is #1), but I am very pro Castiel marrying just about any of Nathan Fillion's characters. Hell, even Caleb.

Because books.

Caleb? Now, now, let's not get crazy.

Dean listening to NPR alone was a treat, plus tie-flipping before digging into his salad. It's a Terrible Life had a lot of great moments.

Aw I just read an absolutely adorable short Dean/Castiel, almost gen, fic.

Hurt/comfort? No?

The Dead Dean Clause

I love that story! It's so cute.

I am surprised by all the times I've seen reviewers of the last episode ask "They died before? When?" I get that there might be an implication that there were more deaths they don't remember, but surely the reviewers were paying enough attention to notice the times they did actually die onscreen.

And, Amy, I've gotten further in the Hunt book--I liked your article! I had some problems with some of the others (I found a couple of them too precious in their approach), and one had a big error that totally ignored Sam was willing to sacrifice the virgin in Jus In Bello (HUGE point there). All in all, I'm glad I bought it. Interesting read, but I'm pondering saving the rest of it for after the season ends, when the pickings will be dry.
