If this would be the series finale I would fear a sendoff much like Angel
I could actually deal with an Angel-like sendoff. People die but you keep fighting. Even with a gut wound. You want to slay the dragon.
I was hesitant about getting a S6 because Kripke always talked about a five-season arc. And I'd rather have less amazing tv (Firefly) than something ... else.
If they can do it well, I will want more. But I also believe that tv shows, like relationships, sometimes end and they should end with grace and not drunken, crying recriminations*.
*eta: I don't want drunken, crying recriminations as a viewer. The Winchester boys? Yeah, they're pretty when they cry. Especially when they've started the end of the world.
eta2: guT wound, not a guy wound. Though SPN is chock full of those as well.
Happy birthday, Amy!
I just found what's supposed to be the original pilot script. Is it a DVD extra? I haven't made it all the way through the first disk yet.
I feel like there is a script on there that I never looked at, but I'm not sure. All the extra features are on the last disc.
And thank you, ita!
"Angel or not, I will stab you in your face" could be one of my favorite lines ever. Oh, Dean.
I just re-watched The Benders and I was struck by how well casted the show is.
Everyone in that episode was fantastic, from officer Kathleen to Missy Bender and Pa Bender.
I wonder who does their casting because really they're yet another behind-the-scenes talent.
Also, I'd love Officer Kathleen to reappear one day. Jessica Steen is great!
The pilot we got is so much better than that script. I much prefer the history of the boys raised as hunters, rather than being raised by family and distrusting their father from afar.
I have to say, It's A Terrible Life is lovely eye candy. JP in short sleeves and JA in dress shirts and suspenders--delish. And at least something to smile about, a little.
In season 7 all evil has been vanquished and the boys open a pizza place.
Two Guys, an Angel, and a Pizza Place

The Dean girls will flip when Castiel gets married off to Nathan Fillion in a later season.
I'm pretty well Dean/Castiel (except they can never leave Sam--those people are crazy--Sam is #1), but I am very pro Castiel marrying just about any of Nathan Fillion's characters. Hell, even Caleb.
