Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I'd love to visit Colin at a con. I wouldn't do any connish things except look and listen over people's shoulders, speak when spoken to, and schreech with his GF, Back in the day when I hung with local comedians I always wanted to be "that girl" the one who didn't look like talents or like she was sleeping with them, so why was she there? Maybe for travelling comedians to sleep with?

Nah. Just that once. Lady of mystery.

And most of my friends stopped schmoozing the festival, so I had no official reason to go to them, but the staff knew my name and face and let me into things so I did it solo until I spotted somone -- a John Rogers or a Dave Chappele that I knew outside the crazy or a friend doing an interview. Then you have a home base from which you can walk up to a complete stranger and start a conversation based "That's a bold choice for a shirt. Didn't they have it in a natural fiber?" Partly those people.

...all my words have been taken by my work. - Mala

I just had to come in and rec this vid because it really is clever as heck:

Changing Channels

I could never bring myself to go to a con. The value I see in it is the fan girl/boy bonding and frankly SPN fandom scares me a little, in both enthusiasm and intensity.

I'm way too introverted for that type of thing.

The actors paid to stand there for a photo, sign something, and blather feels really uncomfortable to me (and yet I do frequently watch the videos or read reports.)

On the other hand, the actors tied to this show are lovely. Not just the Js, but countless others who are friendly and enthusiastic with fans. It's one thing to show up because you're paid, it's another thing entirely to do so with joy.

For instance, there's no reason Smallville (I don't actually watch it, so I'm talking out of my ass here) shouldn't also be having cons except I assume the actors have no interest.

That vid is brilliant. I have a major beef with it--it's way too short.

Because books.

I can't decide if my favorite is the Laverne and Shirley or Castiel to the Full House tune.

That's one I would DL, if I knew where.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Castiel with the clip for Nip/Tuck was hilarious! ITA with ita, way too short.

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

Yes, too short. LOVED it. Thanks ehab.

I think as an actor that would be the hardest thing for me to do would be having all the con people there to see me. It would make me very uncomfortable. I really do admire the people that are able to do it and be gracious at the same time. I would be kinda freaked out and it would be hard to hide that.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Oh my God, the Dexter credits were BRILLIANT.

I have a major beef with it--it's way too short.

Have you seen the first one?
