So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

I'm not into cons where there is Talent there. I'm totes a Fan Con gal.

FANGIRLS AND OCCASIONAL BOY! RAMPAGE! DRINK! FECK! ARSE!

I assumed that was due to the case, same way we see the boys with Bobby, or the way an outside might, I guess. I could have sworn Ellen said something about it, too, about Jo off hunting and her not being able to say much about it.

It was pretty explict in Good God Y'All that she'd been hunting with Jo, because Jo was hunting, Ellen couldn't stop her, and couldn't not be with her.

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

That is so close to how I feel in crowds Bev. I love you always and forever.

Eta: Tim DeKay I might brave a crowd for. I have a little crush.

Point.

But, and remember I love John, I'm standing by my assertion that John was pretty hardcore to take two children on the road and never provide them a permanent home.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I've never felt fannish enough about anything to go to a fan con. I kinda feel like you need to be a BNF to play, which is not grounded in any sort of reality.

ZenKitty just went to a Leverage con and had a great time and made new friends. Adore the show. Know a producer. Drool over the actors. Wouldn't dream of it.

I don't have crowd anxiety--I have crowd impatience. They're in my way! Sitting in my seat! Eating my food!

But...and I've experienced it at concerts and a concert afterparty, there are moments when you operate in synchronicity with complete strangers because you're in thrall to the same creativity or just the same presence, and it's pretty damned lyrical.

I love hearing music live. There's nothing like the feeling of hundreds or thousands of people all singing the same song from the top of their lungs. Absolutely electric.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

This sounds like singing in a chorus of hundreds of voices, which I have done and it's like flying, sort of. But the chances of that sort of happenstance at a con are weighted so heavily against that I can't bring myself to gamble on it. I sort of envy those who can, and do.

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

She also had breakfast with freakin Tim Hutton. Woot. Honestly I'd rather hear about that than do it. I wouldn't be good trying to think of something to say.

Because books.

See, if I had a chance to sit down with any of the SPN actors or writers, I would jump at the chance. Like, sit down and have a conversation. Like ita, though, I hate the crowd aspect of how they would all be in my way. And standing in line for hours to get an autograph and the chance to seem hi would be a big waste of time for me.

But if I could interview them? That would be awesome.

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

Maybe. If I wasn't there as a fan girl. I'd have lots of fun partying with you guys instead of standing in a line.
