Because books.

I will also add that SoA is *not* an easy show to watch a lot of the time. If you had any problem with violence on, say, The Sopranos, it might not be the show for you. Some episodes, anyway.

But Jax ... Oh, Jax. Charlie Hunnam is fighting for top spot in my affections lately, and JA and JDM are feeling the pressure.

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

we have to wait until freaking September for season 3.

Cool! That means plenty of time to catch up to watch in real time with season 3.

Unpossible! This I will definitely have to watch and judge.

You'd think, I know! And he's blond, which is not usually my thing. But my god, he is scorching hot.

I do believe in killing the messenger, you know why? Because it sends a message. ~ Damon Salvatore

Amy speaks true about the violence. as for Charlie, yes, he's hot. i just wish Jax would wash his hair a little more often.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I think Jared's willingness to do things like that Thomas Kinkade biopic abomination opens more doors for him. Jensen doesn't seem to shy away from schlock, but I get the sense that schmaltzy made-for-Lifetime movies aren't the sort of things he would audition for. Also, while I find JA the more attractive of the two his looks are of the generic WB hunk/Calvin Klein model sort, whereas JP has distinctive features and is extreeeemely tall. I can definitely see that helping separate him from the crowd for casting directors.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

It's the headrags and the he'met.

Is there a thread for SoA discussion? 'Cause I tell you, I needed a support group for the last scene of the S2 finale--and that was after a completely harrowing ep.

I still have trouble looking at Charlie and not seeing Heath-alike. Hot, yes. But I still have to look a him aslant, a bit.

I think Matt has it, why JP will probably have a higher-profile career. I see JA still in tv, mostly, while Jared will probably be tapped for more movies. It's unfair, but thems the realities of H'wood.

But don't you think that limits him a little bit? In terms of standard-issue romantic leads, I think it might, but I could be wrong.

That hadn't occurred to me, Bev! Until now anyway. And yeah, I'm not sure where anyone is discussing SoA. I need to catch up -- we missed some of S1.

Must be doing a Christian Kane impression, who would have been a perfect fannish guest star on SPN. I can still hope.

that Thomas Kinkade biopic abomination

This is just as easy to remember as The Christmas Cottage and much more informative so from here on, this will be the title of the movie for me.

I think you are right Matt about JP's distinctiveness being an advantage. Also I think JA really needs to listen to ita's advice of being in a sitcom. I don't see this as the type of thing he would audition for in the past, but he has proven to be really capable of comedy with this series and it would be fun to see him in that medium. Also I hear the hours and location are much more conducive to family life if that would appeal to him. Quick someone email his agent.

Distinctive used to equal getting character work. Rock Hudson was fairly tall though wasn't he? I seem to remember him towering over his leading ladies. And JP has proven he can sell the love scene. Rawr.

But I think his height could hurt him in some situations. Someone I was watching the other day....oh Gary Sinese...stood next to their female costar and I realized how short he was. This is a disturbing thing to discover as it doesn't sit well with my tallness kink at all. However the one good thing about seeing JA on other things is getting him away from the one costar in the world who makes him look short.
