I, for one, wasn't looking forward to starting my day with a slaughter. Which, really, just goes to show how much I've grown

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

And I know the hero always wins in fictional poker games but Sam's hand seemed like rabbit's foot lucky.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

Yeah, but I can take one lucky hand as a plot point, because he first bluffed the witch, and then played him into thinking he had gone reckless with grief and desperation. As to why he got the hand, maybe he had an angel on his shoulder.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Maybe manwitch knows about Dean's mortality because he took 50 of his years?

But, yeah, it's great that Sam got to act the hell out of his hand, but what a hand...

Come to think of it, I have won with four of a kind on a small pocket pair when my opponent was sure he had the pot with his full house. I forget the odds are funky with hold 'em. But that was a $5 buy-in, noone's life was at stake.

In a fictional sporting event, you have to win at the last moment. And you can't defuse a bomb with more than a second left on the timer.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Chad Everett was pretty damned funny, though.

"Dooood."

In a clip from one of the cons, both JP and JA mimic Everett's Dean: here, at about 7.57 Doooood.

At the same con, JA addresses the copious amounts of sweat JP produces, here, from about 3.15. I couldn't help thinking that the poker game was *finally* a good story-reason for the sweat.

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

Oh thank you for that Bev. I may have a permanent smile on my face. Dooood. Between that and little Sam watching the show because that is "him", my face is going to freeze this way!

Because books.

Aw, Bev comes through with the con clips! I love to watch them together out of character. It's so nice to see that chemistry (and I actually don't mean anything porny by that).

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Filming far away from home is so hard. And with just the two of them in the regular cast, I am chuffed to see that they get along so easily.

Because books.

Exactly! Can you imagine if they hadn't hit it off? Although I think maybe the show wouldn't have done as well, if that had been the case.

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

I think you guys are right. That would have been too long to sustain dislike and turn out that kind of quality. Unless you are The Eagles.

Didn't Jensen say in an earlier con or interview that he didn't have that great of a relationship with Jessica Alba while making Dark Angel, but after being one of the leads of the show on SPN, he got where she was coming from back then and they made up? Don't quote me because I may have dreamed that but I'm pretty sure I saw it after season one was over.
