(did they not audition her? Could they not find any other biracial-plausible actresses? How hard where they trying)
My personal belief is that someone lost a bet. It's the only plausible answer.

[NAFDA]. This is where we talk about the CW series Supernatural! Anything that's aired in the US on TV (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though — if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.

Something like that. I honestly don't pay attention during that one, except to catch Dean with the towel on his head crowing about the shower.
I don't see Sam as not wanting to share Dean so much as being simply surprised that Dean has this other side, this life that isn't just hunting and family. A shift in worldview, maybe.
It's possible to read Sam's coughing when Dean got kissy kissy as younger sibling trying to fit the older sibling back where they see them as belonging. I think it's more typical for the younger sibling to want the older to not change--I parse it as a bit of possessiveness, but not atypically so. Sam was very much the younger brother.
Dean with the towel is very cute. Sam with the father parallels with the realtor is very clumsy. But Show isn't hardly subtle with the parallel-drawing, then or now.
Yeah, Bugs is pretty bad. But we got the bee story out of it (X a billionty)! And there was tummy whappage and fanny slappage, and towel-wearing. And there was even backstory that John checked in on Sam at Stanford. Can't really call it a wash. Not a good ep, but there were good bits.
Bee story? Do tell!
How many girls has Dean been with on the show? My memory for the details is crap, so I can only remember Cassie and Anna right now. He's obviously playa playa and will hit on anything attractive in a tight pair of jeans, but how much have they actually shown it?
Because Route 666 would rank just for the indication that he has a "first love" (as the TiVo guide said--who has he fallen in love with since then?) and can be tender with women, but I wonder how much of what I interpret as Kripke et al meaning it about his attitude towards women they actually had him act out onscreen, instead of talk out. And I count hitting on women as talk.
You mean Dean, right?
They show him flirting with a LOT of girls, and only some of them you're supposed to think he actually took home (or ... to the back room or whatever).
But there were the girls in Magnificent Seven, the girl in the b&w monster movie one, and ... that's all I can think of.
I'm sure someone somewhere has kept count. Like those who count F--- in Tarantino movies.
Yes, totally meant Dean. Edited.
Either they want him to be more talk than action, but with the ease around bordellos I don't quite think so, or they just don't figure they can show it and retain audience connection, I guess.

Yes, but I'm askeered of those places.
the Bee Story. There's a link there to the video clip from the Paley panel--you get to see Kim Manners embarrassed by the story.
Well, hell, the YT account's been suspended. If you can get your hands on a copy of the Paley panel disc from the S1 dvds, it's on there. The Paley is kind of a must for diehard SPN fans. Even though it's somewhat after the fact now, those watching S1 in syndication might find some resonance. There's always a hope someone has an upload.
I tried googling but I'm not having a lot of luck. I was amused that "Dean Winchester Conquests" led to an article about Winchester cathedral.
