Oh, at first it was confusing. Just the idea of computers was like — whoa! I'm eleven hundred years old! I had trouble adjusting to the idea of Lutherans.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Bee story? Do tell!

How many girls has Dean been with on the show? My memory for the details is crap, so I can only remember Cassie and Anna right now. He's obviously playa playa and will hit on anything attractive in a tight pair of jeans, but how much have they actually shown it?

Because Route 666 would rank just for the indication that he has a "first love" (as the TiVo guide said--who has he fallen in love with since then?) and can be tender with women, but I wonder how much of what I interpret as Kripke et al meaning it about his attitude towards women they actually had him act out onscreen, instead of talk out. And I count hitting on women as talk.

Because books.

You mean Dean, right?

They show him flirting with a LOT of girls, and only some of them you're supposed to think he actually took home (or ... to the back room or whatever).

But there were the girls in Magnificent Seven, the girl in the b&w monster movie one, and ... that's all I can think of.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I'm sure someone somewhere has kept count. Like those who count F--- in Tarantino movies.

Yes, totally meant Dean. Edited.

Either they want him to be more talk than action, but with the ease around bordellos I don't quite think so, or they just don't figure they can show it and retain audience connection, I guess.

Yes, but I'm askeered of those places.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

the Bee Story. There's a link there to the video clip from the Paley panel--you get to see Kim Manners embarrassed by the story.

Well, hell, the YT account's been suspended. If you can get your hands on a copy of the Paley panel disc from the S1 dvds, it's on there. The Paley is kind of a must for diehard SPN fans. Even though it's somewhat after the fact now, those watching S1 in syndication might find some resonance. There's always a hope someone has an upload.

I tried googling but I'm not having a lot of luck. I was amused that "Dean Winchester Conquests" led to an article about Winchester cathedral.

Oh, the bendy yoga chick! Although that was a past thing. But it is another instance of showing Dean gets laid a lot.

You could find the bee story if you google Ackles and some of the talk shows he's done. He told it roughly a zillion times, and it's mostly about having to be in the room with the bees, without any of the protective gear the handlers used, and Kim getting in there with them.

Carmen! Yeah, it was all in his head, but they lived together. In his head.

Even though Carmen was supposed to be an avatar for Dean's alternate life-he-coulda-had with Lisa, I always liked Carmen better. That actress had chemistry with JA.

Okay, I spent way too much time reading the linked interviews. Must stop now. They're very charming.

Ah, Kim Manners. Their parents must be very proud. He just sounds great. I met Kelly Manners once, and he was a very cool guy. And then there's their talent.

it was all in his head, but they lived together

See, if they lived together, it's not player Dean, it's tender Dean.

"I make mistakes, but I am on the side of Good," the Golux said, "by accident and happenchance.” – The 13 Clocks, James Thurber

I suck at remembering episode titles. "Provenance," maybe? The one where Sam met Sarah the art gallery dealer (who I liked very much and wish they'd bring back somehow) where Dean went home with two girls and reappeared very hungover the next morning.
