I completely agree with Lee. I don't think that's a surprise, since I've been vocal about that all season--probably last season too.
I want more "Killing things, saving people. The family business." And I'd like the show to go out on that note--helping ordinary people, doing good on a human level--rather than "We saved the world! Now we're going to Disneyland!" or heaven or something.
Maybe defeating Lucifer creates a civil war in Hell that spills over into the physical world. That could easily take a whole season to mop up.
They've planted some seeds for that.
Hmm. I've been thinking of the brothers dying as a result of the battle with Lucifer, and that they probably can't with season six becoming more likely. But Castiel could totally buy it.
As can Bobby, but that's just too much in a season where we lost Ellen.
It's entirely possible that both could buy it in the big climactic battle and then get brought back for Season 6 by another agency. Castiel and Anna would both be disposed to do so if either is left standing at the end, and others might have their own reasons.
Next time a Winchester dies I want them to stay dead.
Next time a Winchester dies I want them to stay dead.
I wholeheartedly agree with this, much as I love them.
So, the boys die at the end of this season after finally destroying Lucifer, and in the sixth, they're in heaven, fighting the civil war that continues to rage there!
